Why is my portfolio not syncing automatically?

If you have MFA (multi-factor authentication) enabled on your broker account, then the auto-sync function will not work because this security feature requires an OTP (one-time-password) every time, and there is no way to authenticate the one-time password automatically.

Disabling the MFA will most likely enable the auto-sync to work, although we strongly advise you don’t do this for obvious security reasons.

Sometimes the connection between the brokerage account and authorised app may be severed due to a refresh token expiry or other brokerage policies. While we do our best to minimise these instances, some brokers employ strict policies that limit token lifespan. Other causes may include a change to user credentials used to login to the brokerage account, updates to the accountʼs second factor auth scheme, or service disruptions. In these instances, users can reconnect their account to re-establish connectivity to their broker.
